The evolution of an inventory tracker, from idea to commercial product
The Chemicalinventory project was started to provide an easy entry point for organisations
looking for an optimized way to handle their chemical stock.
The first version was released as open source project at source-forge, back in 2004,
and was build in tight collaboration with The University Of Copenhagen.(Department of Medicinal Chemistry)
Since then a long list of improvents has been added to the system.
The version of the application is still free to download and use in any way you like.
This new and improved version has been totally rewritten, redesigned and will take out all
the best from the old version and combine it with a lot of new and exiting features.

One of the new and exiting features that is currently in development is the ability to get instant download to your instance
of the system, of compound data. This will allow for compound information to be standard, and make the registration process very smooth.
Another feature in process is the ability to automatically fetch MSDS for compounds, and furthermore enrich these data with supplements, in a template based environment.
